Burma: Pressure Shows Results : (Keep It Up: Sat :Tate 11am to T Sq)

last night the burmese "junta" agree to open talks with the democratically elected burmese peoples representation, after a meeting with the UN rep . . . .
The media spin of "doom doom" in the west, with the odd "deprioritisation" of this sort of mould-breaking news - with its echoes of the end of apartheid in south africa, or the irish peace processes "key moments" - is suspicious, but . . . . breaking news???? MUCH TO DO, keep up pressure, but FIGHT THE HYPE too! Read more >>

Radley Lakes Injunctions

RWE NPower have gone to great expense to try and gag the local press, TV and
even Radio, to prevent the news getting out there that they are trashing
Thrupp Lake and cutting down hundreds of trees, causing distress to the
nesting birds and causing pain to the local residents who have made an
application to have the place classed as a Town Green.

No place at the Inn, asylum in Egypt

In contrary to the often hypocritical ''Christmas'' approach, The Birth of the Child is no sentimental story about ''A Little Child in a Manger'', but the reality of the exclusion of the poor, persecution by the State and seeking illegal asylum in a foreign country
That's the reason, this Story is based on respect towards any human being, regardless descent or committed crime Read more >>
