All speakers corresponded with their message of showing solidarity with all public and private sector workers who will be threatened at any time in the future and the overwhealming feeling was that the proposed cuts will be irrevocably damaging to British society and would have the greatest effect on the poorest and most vulnerable within it. In spite of the rain, there was a unanimous feeling that people together would be able to stand up and fight these ill conceived and unnecessary public sector spending cuts.
A number of flyers abounded mentioning up-coming actions, including a demonstration at the Tory Party Conference in Birmingham this Saturday 3rd and the TUC called Oxfordshire Day of Action Against the Cuts on Wednesday 20th.
