Wednesday 2nd February 8pm
Massey Room, Balliol College, Broad Street, Oxford
Do you know what rules and procedures that face asylum seekers
coming to Britain? Or what the situation is for refugee families
who have settled here? Or that asylum seekers are being
imprisoned without ever having been to a trial, and that less than
an hour outside oxford?
The campaign to keep Azim in Oxford raised interest about the
general situation for asylum seekers and refugees. There
will therefore be a meeting Wednesday 2nd of February, 8pm in
Balliol Massey Room, where there will be speakers from Asylum
Welcome, Close Campsfield Campaign, OASIS (Oxford Asylum
Seekers Inclusive Support) and other groups; talking about
asylum policies in general, Campsfield "Detention Centre", and how
you can volunteer in Oxford and abroad.
Hope to see you there!
The meeting is arranged by Student Action for Refugees and
Oxford Student Activist Network
