New Aldermaston nuclear W.M.D. facility rubber-stamped

dv | 30.09.2010 11:00 | Anti-militarism | Ecology | Health | Oxford

West Berkshire Council has approved another multi-million pound nuclear warhead facility at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) at Aldermaston, England despite 1331 objections from members of the public. The new hydronamics facility, or 'Project Hydrus', will form an integral part of the £5bn+ ongoing modernisation of AWE designed to equip it for producing a new generation of nuclear warheads, with no public consultation or parliamentary scrutiny or debate.

More detailed report from Adrian Windisch of Reading Green Party, who attended last night's planning meeting:

AWE Project Hydrus Planning Decision

There will be no public inquiry into this or any of the other applications related to the ongoing development programme at the (now two-thirds US-owned) Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) sites at Aldermaston and nearby Burghfield, which AWE has stated is on the scale of Heathrow Terminal 5, and which is intended to enable the development of a new generation of nuclear warheads. Over £1bn a year (or £3 million a day) of public money is currently being spent on AWE, with no public consultation or parliamentary debate or approval, and barely any public scrutiny.

AWE is currently 'celebrating' 60 years of making nuclear bombs in Berkshire:

The Orion laser, an integral part of the new developments at AWE Aldermaston, is said to be due for a royal unveiling later this year.

Might this be the time to step up the direct action at Aldermaston, and against Trident and its planned £97bn replacement in general?

The Devonport Big Blockade, organised by Trident Ploughshares, will take place in Plymouth on Monday 1 November 2010:

Think of this every time you see or hear about cuts to health and education and other services.

The priorities of the state are to have the means to inflict mass violence, not the needs of the 'voters'.

unjust war, illegal violence.

30.09.2010 18:51

The first man to order nuclear weapons to use on the missles was Adolf Hitler. He believed that three generations after is death, sufficient " Super-weapons" would be in existence to continue his nazis aggression for right-wing-nut dictatorships of the military globally. To do this with effect he ordered the dedicated nazis scientist Werner Von Braun who headed his missle programs to put the super weapons on the missles. However, as the world's united front against fascism fought and defeated his plan, he then ordered Werner Von Braun to surrender to the U.S. Imperialist military as they were the ones along with the Imperialist camp that financed Nazis Germany with it strategic war material after the 1933 nazis coup-d'-etat (Prescott Bush-through the Thysson Corporation) that brought Hitler to power.

Later Hitler said that by the time three generations after his death had passed such 'super weapons' would be ready to carry the his fight to victory. That year is 2020. You can see the entire imperilalist camp re-newing their pledges to the discredited nazis military doctrine of 1) might makes right, 2) Unilateralism, 3) Pre-emptive strikes. That is the true materialism of the British Imperialist Empires Ruling that Nuclear weapons must be re-newed instead of as the anti-fascist side says, of dismantling and thoroughly ending aggressive war machinery and its manufactury.

The study of the anti-fascist covenants should be undertaken, such as the Nuremburg Trials (1945-46), Geneva Conventions of war (1949), United Nations Charter, World court of the Hague, ICC-- International Criminal Court, and the International War Crimes Tribunal (Bertrand Russell Style)

The liberation side set the goal of liberation world wide as the ending of aggressive war as a nations foreign policy, and that the new war forward must be collective agree as democracy to settle disputes between nations. In fact the scrapping of the war machine is the beginning of the possibility of full freeing of the world's peoples. Re-newing nuclear weapons is not the victory because nuclear weapons kills all plants, animals, peoples and inopperates all air, land, and water. That is the very worst thing on earth and indicates the insanity of the Hitlerian progame of aggressive war re-newal instead of the first canadian divisions goal of elimination of war, which act produces the possiblility of liberating the peoples of all nations.
