The TSSSSS, The Topless Society of Sociopathic Sexually Selacious Sirens which is a very serious campaign organisation proclaiming the right for women to be topless in everyday situations in the same way that men are able to, we believe in self love, naturalness, topless organic gardening and the power of the breast to bring about radical social change, for the best. Last night in Borders Bookshop, Oxford we received Louis Theroux's seal of approval as he signed out breasts.
We in the TSSSSS want to open a national debate on the way in which breasts are portrayed in British culture, you may think this is a highly trivial matter but our campaign organisation runs deep and it all starts with the breast! We are sick of the disparity between the daily bombardment of silicon breasts in every newsagent across the country, we want to encourage a self acceptance and a love of the human body in all its shape and forms, we enjoy the simple pleasures of topless gardening, with the air circulating around out skin, and we wish to be able to take walks in the countryside topless without the fear of reprimand accusations of being loose women or without being prosecuted for indecent exposure. We believe in the power of naked protest, we want to encourage a natural and healthy self love of the body and a natural sexuality, we support all naturists and naked gardeners out there, we are against violent and abusive images of women, men and children, we believe that our human self destructive nature, our war like tendencies and our abilities destroy the natural environment stem from a sense of self hate and disconnection from our natural state and the nature around us, we see a parallel between the way women and men wage a kind of war on their bodies through plastic surgery and trying to conform to ridiculous limiting stereotypes and the way in which we wage war on the natural environment, we stand for fun, making fools of ourselves and we believe in the power of the breast, we are sick of people telling us it is disgusting to get our tits out in front of the children when it is our very breasts that give life and nurture children, in the future we want it to be perfectly acceptable for local parks and swimming pools and gardens to allow topless women as they do in europe, we have so much more to say and do, join us in our debate and recognise the pure and natural power of the breast over our contorted repressive pornographic and limited ways of seeing that we a currently subjected to. i liked the tssssss manifesto, thought they had some valid points.
then saw the video. two posh giggling girlies disrobing in borders to a bemused theroux and his subsequent autographing of their breasts doesn't quite consitute his approval, and (scuse the phrase) really got on my tits - couldn't take a thing seriously after that.
oh and i believe the spelling the ladies meant to use is 'salacious'.

I believe that The Tsssss...does have valid points and I am certain that other suggestions for publicising their campaign would be welcome. How can Zoe tell they're posh? (was it the appalling spelling error? ) you pay all those school fees and really can't guarantee results!
Normalise nakedness has got to be an admirable pursuit.
As for Louis Theroux, he makes his money and reputation through contact with thecurieous and perhaps not quite everyday activies of various folks around the world,

the main beef i had with this posting is that the video (in my eyes) only served to make me think that it *was* a wind-up.

i don't quite see how going topless in borders has anything to do with any of the above points. also, in terms of equality, why didn't they take a bloke with them to get *his* chest signed? (and why do men/boys never seem to want to have that done??)
niggled me slightly that they're campaigning *against* the sensationalization of the breast, yet take an action that takes advantage of said attitudes it (topless borders shocker! can almost see the sun headlines...). Maybe a more appropriate response would be a mass topless gardening session? Converge for a wide scale breastfeeding event in public?

Truth be told, I like looking at breasts as much as the next man, but I don't necessarily think they exist purely for our entertainment. As soon as you manage to get your fucking stupid (possibly un-used) brain around this fact, you might begin to realise that the original statement revolved purely around various feminist ideals of equality, but I do agree with what you said concerning the fact that the video is a pointless piece of publicity-hounding garbage. However, if you are going to slag anyone off concerning what appeared in the video/statement/comments why not say something worth-while as opposed to making random class-related jibes to make yourself feel like a fucking better person.

Considering the number of obsessions with class and social stand represented in this site I am assuming (correct me if I'm wrong) that there are a lot of men posting comments. As far as I can see from the comments, the only person to criticise the class of these two young women was zoe. If you forgive me for sounding sarcastic, I think that's a woman's name.
Secondly, most of the negative and mocking comments came from female contributors. No surprises there then, that feminists have no sense of humour.
Why do men need to walk around with their cocks out? Most men would give their left arm to meet pretty young women, or women generally, who want to walk around topless, which is the same right that men have.

Well, giggling with your tits out on video is clearly a sign of great maturity, but whatever. I too believe in the great feminist ideal of women being able to walk around topless, especially in front of children.
When I was a twelve year old I would have loved to have had friends of the family, or neighbours, like these two young ladies.....where they were gardening or swimming at the local swimming pool and they would gently and friendly greet me and we could play together and laugh and roll around and.......
