Interested in challenging orthodox, mainstream academia? A new series of workshops is starting this weekend: the Alternative Academics. The idea is to discuss about alternative topics usually excluded from mainstream academia, in an alternative format as well (no speaker meeting where the speaker is on a platform and tells you what to think). I won't say more about it; just come and take part in it!

The first one will be about Permaculture. This is a good chance to know about a innovative way of looking at how humans design their lives, borrowing patterns from the natural systems to make our lifestyles more sustainable.

I think the word Mr Kennedy may have been searching for was 'conformity'; not'conformism'. But then he also publicly announced that he was a doughnut, so go figure...
