Peace Picnic at USAF Croughton - 2nd Oct

Although in Northants, the base is only 23 miles from
the centre of Oxford.

Plans so far:
Meet at the back of the base near the footpath at
12noon; a smaller group representing Oxfordshire Peace
Campaign, West Midlands CND and (hopefully)
Northhampton will hand in a letter to the base
commander at the Main gate at 12.30 and then join us
at the picnic site just off the A43, where we will
have hung lots of banners. We decided to have just one
speaker (tbc) and perhaps some music
to be followed by a picnic. Leaflets and display
material to be prepared and used in towns and cities
before the 2nd. We will settle the logistics etc. at
the OPC meeting on 2nd Sept. 6pm in the Town Hall.

The demo is part of a global protest at the presence
of so many US bases in other countries and their plans
for missile defence (Star Wars).
