Hunt saboteur awarded damages for assault by police

A hunt saboteur was awarded damages totalling £1450 in Oxford County Court on Monday 19 July 2004 after a jury found in favour of her claim against Thames Valley Police for assault. The case arose from 9 December 2000, when she was punched whilst being arrested on suspicion of having committed Aggravated Trespass at the Garth and South Berks Hunt. Read more >>

85 year old woman to go on a 48 hour Hunger Strike outside the Oxford primate lab

Oxford Uni Animal Labs demo report

Yesterday (Thursday) we had another of the regular demos against the new animal lab being built on South Parks Road in the centre of Oxford. 15 people turned up to keep up the noise and anger. For four hours two megaphones and airhorns kept up a constant noise, despite the bad weather. Read more >>

Anti vivisection / anti vivisection lab demonstration outside the proposed site in South Parks Road next to the notorious Dept of Experimental Psychology.
TOMORROW 3pm Thursday 6 May. There will be leaflets to give out. Bring banners etc if possible. Please be there if you possibly can.
