One of the last survivors to escape the collapsing Twin Towers on 9/11 will be speaking in Oxford this month as part of a nationwide tour.

Who:
William Rodriguez - World Trade Centre janitor - who saved hundreds of lives on 9/11.

Where & When:
7pm, Tuesday 20th February
Oxford Town Hall
St. Aldates

7pm, Wednesday 21st February
Lloyd Lecture Theatre
Oxford Brookes University
Headington Campus

William Rodriguez, who worked in the Twin Towers for 20 years as a janitor, personally saved hundreds of lives on 9/11. He went back into the towers to unlock doors for the firemen and help carry out the injured. He was the last survivor to leave the North Tower before it collapsed, and endured 4 hours buried alive beneath the rubble before being rescued. As soon as he was pulled free, he was interviewed on TV about what he had experienced.

He immediately started campaigning on behalf of the families and survivors of 9/11, and testified to the 9/11 Commission. William has become a leading campaigner for the 9/11 families, travelling the world doing innumerable talks and interviews, and lobbying heads of state. So it is an immense privilege to have him speak at a series of events throughout the UK.
